Caring for your watch

Like all fine things in life, your watch needs to be taken care of. To help you make the most of your product, we've put together a handy guide for a few things you can do to keep your watch in top condition. Our timepieces are made to be timeless but that doesn't mean they don't need a little help to keep them that way.

Firstly, cleaning. If you're chosen to purchase one of our leather bangs (excellent choice, you have great taste!) some gentle cleaning every few months will help keep the leather in top condition. Give the strap a wipe with a damp cloth and this should do the trick. Make sure not to use any abrasive soaps or detergents - this could irreparably damage the material. A leather specific cleanser will be fine.

For all the fancy, metal watch band wearers - don't worry, we've got you covered too. Prepare a bowl with some soap and warm water and use a soft toothbrush to gently brush the inside and outside of the band. Let it air dry when finished.

Our watches are water resistant up to 5 metres but if you have taken a dip in salt water it's best to give your watch a rinse with fresh water as soon as possible. Otherwise, the salt will harden and wreak havoc on your watch later. If you are going for a swim, make sure the crown is pushed in all the way to avoid water getting inside the watch.

Another thing to think about is sunlight. Our watches are built to keep you company while you're on the go, but please remember that constant exposure to harsh sunlight can lead to discoloration. If you're a chronic sun bather, best to keep your watch in your bag while you're soaking up the sun.
